What is NomRack?
NomRack is a High Performance High Security DNS server
designed for Internet Service Providers and dedicated hosting companies.
It combines the the industry standard BIND DNS Server server with state
of the art security and defence mechanisms.

Defensive Features
- Built-in Stateful Inspection Firewall - Prevents connections
to all but chosen services (e.g. port 53)
- Stealth Mode - Can be configured not to respond to
standard or TCP pings, thus evading detection by many port scanners
- Port Scan Detector - Will detect port scans and completely
block the attacker from connecting to the server in any way
- Intrusion Detection - Both network and host based Intrusion
detection (IDS) is built into the server. This will log all break-ins
attempts
- Log Checker - A log checker will run at regular intervals
and send email alerts regarding important events such as break-in
attempts and other unusual events
